ENROLMENT 2010 There are three steps in the enrolment process: STEP
1 Contact the Kura: Ask to speak to Whaea Kitty. STEP 2 Meet with the Tumuaki, Hita Foster for an interview and tour around the Kura. STEP 3 Fill out an enrolment form once the Tumuaki approves the enrolment. Things to bring: When enrolling a new entrant for the first time it is a legal requirement that we see a birth certificate or passport, and an up to date Immunisation Certificate. For other enrolments it is helpful if you are able to bring a copy of your child's latest school report to this interview.
Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Otepou are currently designing a transition programme for new entrant tamariki. This will consist of a pre-enrolment orientation a month before your tamaiti turns five. These pre-school visits will be very beneficial in helping a smooth transition to Kura. It is envisaged that new entrant tamariki are slowly integrated into the Kura environment.
