MISSION STATEMENT

TE OHAKI O TE KURA

"TE TAMAITI, HE MAATAURANGA TE KAI, HE TANIWHA TE TANGATA!"
Education is our children's sustenance for they will be our future leaders

Nga Matapono

1 He taonga te tamaiti, tiakina, poipoia kia puawai ona kaha, ona painga katoa

kia ora ai te wairua, te hinengaro, te tinana me te ngakau.
We affirm our tamariki are treasures and that affectionate nurturing of their strengths

attributes to their spirituality, aptitude, and physical well-being.

2 Ma te whanau katoa e arahi i nga mahi o te Kura.
The guidance of the Kura is the responsibility of the entire whanau.

3 Ko te tamaiti, he uri na ona matua tupuna, he whanau, he hapu, he iwi tona, he turangawaewae tona, he reo tona, he matauranga tona, he mana motuhake tona.
We acknowledge that our children descend from their ancestors; they have genealogical ties to whanau, hapu, and iwi. They have a place of belonging, a voice, knowledge and independence.

4 Kia toro atu nga ringa o te tamaiti ki nga matauranga katoa o te ao whanui hei oranga mona.
We recognize that an integral part of our children's learning, encompasses educational engagement in the world at large.

5 Kia whakaritea e te kura nga mahi whakahaere e tika ana kia mahi.
The Kura will maintain quality management practices.

6 Ma nga hotaka whakaako me te akoranga hihiko, ka akina ana nga tamariki kia eke ai ratou ki nga taumata tiketike.
Programmes of learning and teaching challenge our tamariki to achieve success
